École Normale Superieure, Paris 

École Normale Superieure is the highest-ranked among best universities in Paris as well as overall in France. It is placed at 23rd worldwide in the current QS World University Rankings. The ENS Paris boasts of alumni that includes 12 Nobel Prize Laureates and all the eight French Fields Medals winners. The latter is the most coveted prize for upcoming mathematicians.

École Polytechnique (ParisTech)

Ranked 40th in the world, it is the highest-placed university in France for both engineering and technology based on the latest QS World University Rankings. It is located approximately 30 kilometers on the outskirts of central Paris and has a community of more than 4,600 students and teachers.

 Université Pierre et Marie Curie 

The University is currently ranked 137th in the world and is one of the biggest teaching institutes of science and medicine in the greater Europe, with over 125 laboratories. It was established in the year 1971 after the division of University of Paris. The University has a community of around 34,000 students, and 20 % are internationals and a faculty of over 8,600 staff, of which 80 % work in research structures.

Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV)

Université Paris-Sorbonne is Ranked 222nd in the world and 36th internationally for arts and humanities. The University has a current enrollment of around 14,000 undergraduates excluding 7,000 graduate students. It has seven campuses in the student-oriented Latin Quarter.

Sciences Po Paris 

The Institute d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, also known as Sciences Po Paris, majors in humanities and social sciences and approximately 40 % of its budget is used to fund research projects in these subjects. It is currently ranked 223rd globally and offers a total of seven campuses around France which are home to 13,000 students of whom 46 % are internationals. Sciences Po Paris’s main campus is situated in Saint-Germain-des-Prés area of the French capital. It was once the center of the former existentialist movement, perpetrated by author Simone de Beauvoir along with philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre.
